Thanksgiving Turkeys to Monterey County’s Needy

As another season of northern California bicycle racing comes to an end, a local cycling team is focusing its attention on local families in need of a little help this year.

Banding together, VOS Cycling Team, Gile Appraisals of Salinas and Greenlee’s Bakery of San Jose are supplying 110 turkey dinners to local families through Kinship Center for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We’re a bunch of competitive cyclists who love our sport and our community. We know it’s that time of year when families might be stretched to the limit, especially given the economy… and we’re happy to help others out at this time of year, especially if it means giving them Thanksgiving dinners!” said Martin Wolff, owner of Value Outsourcing Solutions, a primary sponsor of VOS Cycling Team.
